Who We Are

Middle Sea Forum, is a dedicated platform for in-depth discussions, insights, and analysis on the dynamic geopolitics, security, and foreign affairs shaping South and Southeast Asia. The Indian Ocean, a strategic and demographic hub of the 21st Century, is a focal point for global and regional powers contests. Our area of interest encompasses the Indian Ocean broadly, with particular emphasis on the Bay of Bengal region. As the Bay of Bengal becomes increasingly central to vital global interests, our forum serves as a vibrant hub for scholars, policymakers, experts, and enthusiasts alike.

Affiliations

MYPACK

MyPACK is a Canada-based Research Hub dedicated to providing policy-makers with innovative solutions to the Myanmar crisis using insights from an entrenched network of on-the-ground researchers, practitioners, pro-democracy revolutionary organizations, and diaspora around the world. MyPACK is housed at the Asian Institute, Munk School of Global Affairs & Public Policy. It is supported by a grant from the International Development Research Centre (IDRC) as part of the Knowledge for Democracy-Myanmar (K4DM) project.

BCIPA

The Bangladesh Center for Indo-Pacific Affairs (BCIPA) is a multidisciplinary international affairs research and academic platform devoted to studying and analyzing the Indo-Pacific region. BCIPA has been founded by Professor Shahab Enam Khan, PhD, one of the esteemed faculty members of the Department of International Relations, Jahangirnagar University, Bangladesh. Jahangirnagar University, founded in 1970 and situated in Savar, Dhaka, Bangladesh, is a public research institution with very strong research facilities.
